Anthony John Seccia age 101 a resident of Bethany Village died at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Scranton on January 27, 2016. He was married to the late Margit Seccia. Born on November 28, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Frank and Julia Emanuel Seccia. Anthony served in the United States Navy during World War II. He met his wife in Brooklyn in 1930 and moved to Pine Mill in 1968. Anthony was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America since 1927and a Chaplain of the American Legion Post 765 Lookout, Pa. He was a member St. John's the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish and attended St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Rileyville. He is survived by two sons, Frank Seccia and John Seccia both of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Betty Ann Seccia of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Rileyville on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM Friends may visit the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale on Saturday from 10:00-12:00 Noon. Interment will be in the Pine Mill Cemetery.
