Gertrude M. Johnson, Honesdale, died after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease at Wayne Woodlands Manor on December 26, 2017. Her husband , Jesse L. Johnson, Jr. died November 29, 2002. They were married December 6, 1946 in Narrowsburg, NY.
Born November 13, 1930 in Honesdale she was the daughter of the late Howard and Clara Keller Kerber.
Gertrude organized bus trips for many years. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the country.
She is survived by nine children, Judy Blackburn and husband Tommy of Cleveland, Tenn, Jesse Johnson and wife Marilyn of Honesdale, James Johnson of Honesdale, Jeanne Rutledge and husband Corky of Equinunk, John Johnson and wife Karen of Honesdale, Joni Yatsonsky and husband Gene of Honesdale, Joel Johnson of Honesdale, JillFlynn and husband Steve of Bernville, and Janie Johnson of St. Mary's, GA;19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Grace Kronyak of Honesdale; niece Susan Palmer and husband Richard of Honesdale; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother Howard James Kerber and a nephew Gene Kronyak.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Smith Hill Cemetery.
