Jerry L. "Jake" Hopkins, 54, of Tyler Hill passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2018. He is survived by Holly L. (Harsch) Hopkins, his beloved wife of 32 years. Jake is also survived by his parents Harold and Betty (Rutledge) Hopkins; son, Brett Hopkins and his wife Michelle of Annandale, VA; brothers and sisters: Donald and Patti Hopkins of Scranton, PA; Rosanne and Charles Alexander of Rileyville, PA; John Hopkins and Linda O'Neil of Windsor, NY; Mark and Carol Hopkins of Rileyville, PA; Nancy and Ed Hart of Honesdale, PA; and two grandchildren: Nathaniel and Naomi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Jake was born on May 8, 1963 in Callicoon, New York. He was the youngest of 6 children. Jake graduated from Honesdale High School in 1981. After high school he went to work at the family owned business, Hopkins Welding and Crane. Jake was a hard working family man, devoted Mets and Cowboys fan, and will be missed by many. Viewing Hours will be held on Wednesday, April 4, from 1:00-3:00pm and 5:00-8:00pm in The Beacon Family Center at Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Road, Milanville, PA 18443. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 5, at 11:00am also at The Beacon Family Center at Calkins Baptist Church with Pastor Lane Jones officiating, followed by burial at the Hillside Cemetery in Damascus. Friends and family are invited to Lookout Fire Hall, Route 191, Equinunk for a memorial luncheon immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jake's memory to The Cochecton Men's Club, PO Box 10, Cochecton, NY 12726 or Hillside Cemetery Association 511 Griffith Road Tyler Hill, Pa 18469.
