Lawrance Denver Compton, 36, a resident of Delaware Tower in Scranton, PA, formerly of Lake Ariel, died in his sleep on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at home. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of Frances Compton of Scranton, Pa. and the late Wayne Compton, Jr. Lawrance was a graduate from Western Wayne High School Class of 1994 and a 1996 graduate of Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown. He attended High Point Baptist Church in Edwardsville. Larry was an avid fisherman, artist, and collector. He enjoyed music concerts and movies and being on the computer. He was well liked by all who knew him and he also had a love of animals. In addition to his mother he is survived by his Aunt Laurie Savignano and her husband Albert; Cousin Isabelle Keegan and her husband Robert; several cousins; his best friend who he considered a brother, Floyd Bishop, Jr. of Calf. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Wayne Anthony; grandparents, Mable and Wayne Compton, Sr. ;Aunts Augusta Gordon, Isabelle Warner, and Edna Fitz. A private funeral service will be held in Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale, Pa at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A.
