Thelma L. Dexheimer, 85 of Wayne Woodlands Manor, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, March13, 2011. She was married to the late Paul E. Dexheimer who died in 1993. Thelma was born in Waymart the daughter of the late, Leo and Emily Eggleton Wilcox. She was of the Methodist faith. Thelma loved to crochet and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, flowers, cats, and watching soap operas. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Thelma is survived by two sons, Francis Dexheimer of Carbondale, James Dexheimer and his wife Debra of Honesdale; four daughters, Donna Smith and her husdand David of Honesdale, Nancy Robinson and her husband Larry of Scranton, Brenda Hazen and her husband Louis of Dalton, Kelly Canfield and her husband William of Honesdale;daughter-in-law, Julia Dexheimer of Lake Ariel; twenty four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren;one step- great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sons, John, Leona, and Robert Dexheimer; two grandsons, Mark Dexheimer and David Smith; two sisters, Leona Bishop and Doris Houman ; one brother, Robert Wilcox; daughter-in-law JoAnn Dexheimer Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2001 at 11:00 AM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday, March 17, 2001 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM Interment will be Friday at Hillside Cemetery, Damascus. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society,Wayne Unit, 100 4th Street, Honesdale, Pa 18431, the Alzheimer's Association, 63 N. Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa 18701, and the American Heart Association 625 West Ridge Pike, Suite A100, Conshahocken, Pa 19428.
