Martin Jacob Eck "Marty", 79, of Honesdale, PA, passed peacefully away on March 10, 2017 in Honesdale, PA. Marty was born in Hawley, PA to Oliver J. Eck and Emily F. (Perry) Eck on October 29, 1937. Marty served our country in the Army. Afterwards, he returned to his home area and held jobs with the state, local farms and nurseries. Marty enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, and old cars.
Marty is preceded in death by his wife, Lois H. (Albert) Eck. He is survived by his son Charles E. Eck of Honesdale; step-son Robert Albert and wife Carol of Broken Arrow, OK; and brother Fred Eck of Damascus.
Visitation will be held at Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main St., Honesdale, Friday, March 17 from 3-5 pm. Marty will be buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Galilee, PA.
