Obituary of Harold E. Eldred

Harold E. Eldred, 82, of Galilee passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Florence Newport Eldred. Harold was born December 8, 1934 in Pine Mill, the son of the late Frank and Gertrude Swendsen Eldred. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. Harold attended the Abrahamsville Methodist Church. He is survived by a son, David Eldred of Galilee; a daughter, Cheryl Davis and her husband Gary of Waymart; three brothers, Leon Eldred, Harry Eldred, and Leonard Eldred; two sisters, Carrie VanOrden, and Esther Fuller; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cristine Bergman who died in 2013; and two sisters, Hazel Terrel and Grace Young. A graveside funeral service will be held in the Pine Mill Cemetery on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. All attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
