Pamela Eve (Mitchell) Misner of Honesdale, PA passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was married to Gary L. Misner for 19 wonderful years. The couple had spent nearly a year living in Lancaster, PA.
Born on December 21, 1948 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Harriet (Dennhardt) Mitchell. Pam graduated from Honesdale High School with the class of 1966. Her love of children led her to become a Day Care Provider, Child Care Worker, and Sunday School Teacher. Pam was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and their cat, Molly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and niece. Pam's sense of humor along with her kindness and compassion for others earned her many friends along life's journey. She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale.
In addition to her husband, Pam will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her brother, Barry Mitchell and sister-in-law, Elizabeth of Bath, PA; two daughters, Lori Ahern and her husband, Jim of Bethany and Holly Smith and her husband, Mike of Lake Ariel; two granddaughters, Kayla Blydenburgh and her partner, Bill Widmer and Abby Skelton; two grandsons, JP and Jared Ahern; two maternal aunts, Jean Dennhardt and Janet Sargent; two paternal aunts, Janet Tiel and Gail Snyder and her husband, Bill; two nephews, Eric Mitchell and his wife, Stacey and Kurt Mitchell and his wife, Laura; and several cousins.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3:30 PM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7th and Church Streets, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Private interment will be at the Lutheran Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, Pam has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431.
