Frank Carl Clark Sr. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy (Peterson) Clark, whom he married on Saturday, February 15, 1969 in Stanhope, New Jersey.
Born on June 30, 1947, in Dover, New Jersey, Frank was the son of the late Mahlon Alonso and Helen Marie (Yanuk) Clark. He was a proud graduate of Morris Hills Regional and went on to complete his Operating Engineering training in Morristown, NJ.
Frank enjoyed a long and successful career in the construction industry, working for several companies including V.A. Spatz, R.J. Longo Construction, Linde Enterprises, and Northeast Remsco Construction. He was a dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.) Local 825 for 39 years.
In addition to his professional achievements, Frank served as a 4-H leader with the Beech Grove Community 4-H Club.
Frank had many hobbies and interests that reflected his adventurous and nurturing spirit. An incredible home chef, he loved preparing meals for his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time in nature. He also took great pleasure in feeding birds and other wildlife in his yard. A fan of drag racing, Frank’s enthusiasm for the sport was well-known among his friends and family. He was also an active presence on social media, offering kind and supportive words that touched the lives of many.
Frank's family was the center of his world. He is survived by his four children: Frank Clark Jr. and his wife Jennifer Weidner-Clark, Darron Clark and his wife Kelly Ann, Mandy Singh and her husband Robbie, and Brien Clark and his wife Lucinda. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Mahlon Clark, Joshua Clark, Mason Clark, and Landon Clark. He is further survived by his brother, Andrew Clark, and his wife, Patricia.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Paul Gombita, Jr,. for his companionship and the care he provided to Frank during his time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
