James Lee Hanner Gregory, 70, of Beach Lake, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Cheryl (Davis) Gregory. They were married February 17, 2006. Born on 5/5/1955 at 5:55 AM in Carbondale he was a son of the late Cuthbert and Barbara Gregory. He was the Owner and Operator of Built Right Construction Company and Gregory's Nursery. He loved gardening and tending to the Christmas trees at his farm. Surviving are his bonus children Malinda (Greg) Davis, and Zachary Goble; grandson Ezra Armani Davis-Shaffer; his best friend and companion his dog Puppers, mother and father in law Lena (Warren) Carey and Steven Carey, Brother in Law James (Sherry) Davis and a sister, Linda Bingham. Many nieces and nephews from the Gregory,Bingham, and Matthew’s families. Especially his niece Marissa who he cherished his last couple of years hunting and “being an outlaw” with. He was preceded in death by brothers Michael and Charles and a sister Lois Matthews. As per his request private internment will be held at the convenience of the family. And in his final words “nobody gets out of here alive”
