Inis Lucie Rutter, 100, formerly of Honesdale and Hewitt, NJ passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Belle Reve Senior Living, Milford, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Ludwig Rutter who passed away May 10, 1998.

Born August 14, 1924 in Bienenfarm KRS W. Havelland, Germany she was a daughter of the late Anton and Franziska (Konietzna) Mikolajczak.

She was employed as a sample maker and seamstress and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Honesdale.

Surviving are a daughter Veronika Johanna Doherty and her husband Dennis Francis Doherty; Grandchildren: Theresa M Ryan, Christine Hochberg, Toniann Sobers, Patricia Santiago, Dana Wakefield; 10 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Volkhard Rutter and her siblings: Helene (Lene) Bennewitz, Franziska (Zilli) Küster, Sophia Zmudziewski, Erna Maass, Stanislaus (Stanley) Mikolajczak, Wilhelm (Willi) Mikolajczak.

As per her request following cremation interment will be in Indian Orchard Cemetery
