Dale D. Fowler, 93 of Honesdale, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Joan Ann Rothrock.

Born on September 3, 1931 in Carbondale he was a son of the late Dean and Margaret (Dimmick) Fowler.

After attending and graduating from Honesdale High School, Dale graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in commerce and finance. He was a veteran of the US Army serving for two years.

Dale was the President of Fowler Oil Company, Honesdale, PA.

Dale was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, F.&A.M. Lodge 218, Wayne-Pike Shrine Club, a board member of the former Farmers and Merchants Bank and the Honesdale Golf Club.

Dale was an avid reader and a dedicated sports fan—particularly of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He also enjoyed classic movies and possessed knowledge across a wide range of subjects.

Surviving are his three children, Geoffrey Fowler of Honesdale, Ty Fowler and his wife Mary of Prompton, and Susan Ruppert and her husband David of Ithaca, NY; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother Eugene Fowler, of Florida, two sisters Gretchen Erk of Seelyville, and Linda Golodner of Washington DC; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Dale T. Fowler.

Viewing will be held on Sunday August 17, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Katie Hopper officiating.

Interment will follow in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
