Delores Rita Falvo, of Honesdale PA, died on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor J. Falvo, who died earlier the same year. Dee and Vic were first residents of Honesdale, then Old Forge, and then again Honesdale, but in early retirement they spent winters at Cedar Creek Lake in Texas with their sons and grandchildren living near there.

Born in Simpson, PA, Dee was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Zukowski Wallace. She was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson, and then attended nursing school, becoming a Registered Nurse first working at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She retired after working for decades at Clark Summit State Hospital.

During her life and retirement, Delores had many interests including fashion, ceramics, cooking and baking, sewing, reading novels, aerobics and exercising at the YMCA, kayaking, swimming, playing cards and traveling.

Survivors include sons Michael, David, Perry, and Mark; two daughters-in-law, Susan and Annamarie: Three Grandchildren, Grant, Victor, and Betty; sisters-in-law Helen Muro; and Mary (Spizzirri) Falvo; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving sister Joann.

A memorial gathering at their final residence at Lake Alden is being planned for late spring or early summer of 2026. During that same time period there will be a special mass at Saint Rose Church in Carbondale, where they were parishioners. More information about these two events will be provided early in 2026.
