Lee M. Riggs , 83, of Beach Lake, PA passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Scott M. Riggs, Sr, they were married March 19, 1976.

Born June 16, 1942, in Totowa, NJ she was a daughter of the late Carl and Doris (Cressy) Eggerking. She graduated from the Passaic Valley High School, Wayne NJ.

She worked at the Wayne County Communications Center, and in her younger years cleaned houses, worked at Bell Labs and drove school busses.

Lee enjoyed her children and friends, quilting and sewing, attending bible study, and bird watching.

Surviving are six children, Carlton Smith and his wife Eldeen, Linda McDonald and her husband Edward, Patricia Staszeski and her husband Edward, Jeffrey Riggs and his wife Elizabeth, Scott Riggs, Jr and his wife Melissa and Wayne Riggs; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister Audrey Lewis.

She was preceded in death by a sister Christine Lord.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 6-8 PM at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home 1228 N. Main St, Honesdale.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Calkins Cemetery.
