Robert W. Abbott, 90, of Honesdale, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at his home.

Born Tuesday, March 31, 1936, in Snow Hill, MD he was a son of the late Harry and Catherine (Biddle) Abbott. He graduated from the Snow Hill High School.

Bob went to work at Moore Business Forms right out of high school and worked there until his retirement. During his retirement he worked at Kmart and was brought in to help establish the "Print Shop" at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He retired a few times from the Print Shop; he was always willing to come back to help when they needed him.

He was a member of the Cold Springs Chapel.

In his younger years he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed most sports and also enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Jenett (Labar) Abbott, they were married in May of 2003; five children, Van Abbott and his wife Nancy, Jeff Abbott and his wife Diane, Joni Wendrick, Lynne Morgan and her husband Jim, and Michael Abbott and his wife Jessica; four stepchildren, Colleen Simpson, Eileen Harrington, Arleen Peck, Raymond Harrington; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren,Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Janice Skeeter; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Carmean) Abbott who passed away in 2000, a brother James Abbott and his son-in-law James Wendrick.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9-11 AM at the Arthur A Bryant Funeral Home where the funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mary Bryant officiating.

Interment will follow in East Canaan Cemetery.
