Catherine S. Turner, 90, of Lookout passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She was preceded in death by her husband Myron J. Turner who passed Jan 28, 2014.

Born September 1, 1935 in Callicoon, NY she was a daughter of the late William and Lucille (White) Lacey.

She was a graduate of the Damascus High School.

She worked for many years at WT Grant and K-Mart.

She was an avid crocheter which led to her opening Kathy’s Yarn Shop on the back porch of her home. The yarn shop grew and eventually overtook the family garage and became Kathy’s Mini-Mall. She and her husband operated the store for over 20 years.

Surviving are three children John Turner and his wife Susan, of Keswick, VA, Jeffery Turner, of Lookout and Joseph Turner and his wife Rebecca of Plano, TX; 3 grandchildren, Scott, Sarah, and Erin Turner; two sisters Vera Day and Frances Martin.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William Lacey, and two sisters, Betty Brussel and Geraldine Noble.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Equinunk Volunteer Fire Company.
