Monica Gething

(February 4, 1936 – June 17, 2026)

Monica Gething passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026. Born on February 4, 1936, she was a feisty, funny, and youthful spirit. Known affectionately as "Nonnee," she loved creating silly adventures and proving to her family that growing up didn't mean you had to stop having fun.

A woman of great faith, resilience, and generosity, Monica dedicated much of her time to volunteering at her church. She was an avid animal lover who doted on her pets, and a wonderful cook who cherished sharing meals and stories with family and friends. Through life's hardships, her unwavering devotion to her loved ones kept her going.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Gracie, and her three children, Edward, James, and Cheryl. She is survived by her son, Sean, and his wife, Rachel Gething, along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial mass we be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Snows, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
