Clifford S. Nelson, 86 of Honesdale died at home on January 22, 2016. He was married to the late Katherine Julianna Nelson.
Clifford was born in Bloomfield, NJ on October 17, 1929 the son of Samuel and Helen O'Brien Nelson.
He was a master carpenter and a lover of Big Band Music. Clifford loved the outdoors; gardening and animals. He spent his time socializing with family as well as friends and neighbors of all ages. Clifford was a simple man with a kind and gentle spirit who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his long time companion, Alice L. Avery; three daughters, Katherine Colleen Nelson of Garrett, Indiana, Carol Lynn Nelson of Knotts Island, NC, and Karen Lipiatos of Lovell, Maine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration ceremony of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.
