George F. Stinnard entered the Kingdom of Heaven September 19, 2016. He was husband to the late Myrtle Baldwin Stinnard. George was born in Honesdale the son of the late Roy and Henrietta Hughey Stinnard. He served in the United States Army, 109th Infantry at Camp Atterbury Indiana. George rose to the rank of Sergeant and was extremely proud of his military accomplishments. He not only served his country but served his community as well. George worked at his trade, a knowledgeable and well renowned heating technician, for over 40 years in the Honesdale area. He worked for many years at the W.F. Garing Company. George was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Lamplighters Camping Club in which he and his wife traveled the country. George is survived by his son, Alan G. Stinnard and his wife Rosemary of Honesdale; grandchildren, Jeffery Stinnard of Honesdale, Eric Stinnard and his wife Robin of Vandling, Kurt and Brittany Stinnard of Honesdale; great grandchildren, Aniesa, Mathew, and Frederick Stinnard of Carbondale. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa .
