Norma G. Worobey 82, of Preston Township, Thompson PA, has left many sad family members and friends when she peacefully, in the tender kindness of our Lord, passed from us at home on Friday. Her dear loving husband John died in 2002. Born in Pleasant Mount on March 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the lates Edward Brooking Sr and Gwendolyn Starbird Brooking. Norma was raised on the family farm in Preston Township and graduated in 1952 from Preston School in Lakewood. In 1954, she married John Worobey and together they built a dairy farm in Orson. Norma and John raised four children; Randy and his wife Diane, Dale and his wife Sandy, Kate and husband Ted Porosky, and Amy and husband Bill Bush. She is survived by a large family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her special friend Vergil Faigle. She was predeceased by a sister Edith Burrows, a brother Edward Brooking and a grandson Joshua Tator. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 21 at 11:00 A.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431 with Pastor Edward Cameron and Joe Bachtel co-officiating. Friends may visit on Wednesday, December 20 from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 - 10:50 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wheeler Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Mount on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norma's memory to Northern Wayne Fire Co., 1663 Crosstown Highway, Lakewood, PA 18439.
