Obituary of Denton Robert Edwards

Denton Robert Edwards of Starrucca, Pa passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019, in the Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is married to Cindy Priebe Edwards. Denton was born November 14, 1951 the son of the late Denton and Ella Green Edwards. He graduated from Damascus High School, class of 1969. Denton entered the United States Navy for two tours during the Vietnam War. After serving in the Navy he moved back to Abrahamsville area and married his wife Cindy on November 15, 1975. For Many years he worked as a sawyer, logger, and logging truck operator. Denton served as a deputy for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for many years. He was a member of the Abrahamsville United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Harold Edwards and his wife Beth of Camp Hill, Pa and Lloyd Edwards of Washington, D.C.; brother, Bruce Edwards and his wife Jean of Starrucca, Pa; sister Patricia Olver and her husband Jeff of Beach Lake; grandchildren Audrey Anna Edwards, Ethan Gabriel Edwards, and Rhys Van Edwards; mother and father in law, Mary and Richard Priebe and family; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Tim Edwards. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
