Obituary of Karen Elaine Woodward

Karen Elaine Woodward, 79, Waymart passed away on Tuesday, January 17, at the Forest City Nursing home following an illness. She is survived by her husband, William M Woodward whom she married January 9, 1965. Born in Rahway, NJ daughter of the late Harry and Eleanor Peterson Kent, she graduated from Rahway High School in 1961 and then attended and graduated from the Elizabeth School of Cosmetology. She moved to Pa. in 1973 where she has since resided. She was actively engaged in running the Valley View Farm and Campground with her husband and she enjoyed socializing with the campers. Karen enjoyed gardening and painting, especially the many objects and articles around the campground. She also was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Forest City. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Jane M. Woodward, Honesdale; and a sister, Patricia Krushinski, Monroe, N.J. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, North Main Street, Honesdale with Rev. William McGinty offering prayers.
