Obituary of Chester Roy Kellam

Chester Roy Kellam, 86, of Milanville, died August 19, 2023 at his home. Born February 5, 1937 he was a son of the late Albert and Freda (Mitchell) Kellam. He was employed as a Lineman working on phone lines. Chester was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church and most recently was attending the White Mills Community Church. Chet was fond of whistling and singing and taught himself how to play the violin and harmonica. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering on cars and was fond of helping family with remodeling projects. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Kellam who died September 12, 2019. He is survived by two sons, Randall Kellam and his wife Patti of Tyler Hill, and Brian Kellam of Honesdale; one daughter Grace Blaine and her husband Scott of Milanville; seven grandchildren, Thomas Kellam, Victoria Blaine, Alexandra Blaine Marold and husband Jason, Amanda Kellam Becker and her husband Robert, Matthew Blaine, Hannah Blaine, and Abigail Blaine; three great grandchildren Keslie Kellam, Martin Kellam, and Shania Becker; one brother James Kellam and wife Mildred; one sister Joan Stanton and husband Robert; as well as many nieces and nephews. Chet was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Floyd, Leslie, Irvin, and Kenneth Kellam and sister Norma Galloway. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at White Mills Community Church, 17 Church St., Hawley, PA 18428 with Pastor Rod McLaughlin officiating. Friends may visit at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main St., Honesdale on Wednesday August 23, 2023 from 6-8 PM. Interment will be in the Overlook Cemetery, Damascus.
