Arlene (Bishop) Rose, 92 of Beach Lake passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home. Born December 13, 1931 in Honesdale, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Catherine (Hiller) Bishop. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Robert A. Rose Sr. who passed away in 2013. She graduated from the Honesdale High School. Through her life she was employed as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone, and a floor lady at the Katz Factory. She loved crocheting and puzzle books and enjoyed gardening. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are a son Robert A. Rose Jr. and wife Doris of Beach Lake; two daughters Linda Coykendall and husband Michael of Matamoras, Tammy Scull and her husband Ronald of Honesdale; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Kuhn and fiancé Wendy, Sarah Knight and her husband Michael, Jessica Scull and fiancé Joseph Gries, Kristen Scull, and Rebecca Wadeson and her husband Chris; 8 great-grandchildren, Owen, Ethan and Kinley Gries, Braden Taninies, Kieran, Quinn, Colin Kuhn and Noah Knight. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings Harland Bishop, William Bishop, Rose Schuman, Almeda Augello, Virginia Potter, Wansley White, Adelaide Bishop and Gertrude Loring. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Nebzydoski-White Memorial Livestock Scholarship C/O Rosalind Williams, Secretary and Scholarship Fund Manager, 409 Stock Farm Road, Lake Ariel, PA 18436.
