William "Tom" Olver, of Boyds Mills, Pa died Monday, September 17, 2012 at the home of his daughter Wanda after an illness. He is survived by his wife the former Hazel Elverta Marshall. Born in Waymart he was the son of the late Aldace and Henrietta (Bunnell) Olver. Tom served in the United States Army during WWII. He later worked as a mechanic and truck driver. Tom was a member of the Calkins Baptist Church and the Boyds Mills Hunting Club. He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of two clubs: the Rare Squares and The Castaways. He was a loving and attentive husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Wanda Fairburn and her husband Fred of Vandling; a brother Duane "Mike" Olver and his wife Deborah of Beach Lake; two sisters, Florence Utegg of Honesdale and Esther Racht of Lake Ariel; five grandchildren, Eric Stinnard of Vandling, Jeffrey Stinnard of Vandling, Mark Olver and his wife Tammy of Beach Lake, Michelle Borsdam and her husband Michael of Beach Lake, Nadine Doolittle and her husband James of Philadelphia; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert O. Marshall; five brothers, Gerald, Leon, Vernon, Arthur, and Paul; a granddaughter, Cathy Fairburn Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Road, Milanville, Pa with the Rev. Lane Jones officiating. Friends can visit the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 PM Interment with military honors will be Friday in Calkins Cemetery, Milanville.
