Obituary of Lynda L. Courter

Lynda L. Courter, 66, of Waymart, died Monday morning, December 10, 2012 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gordon W. Courter, Jr. Born on May 30, 1946 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Mihalik Miller. Lynda was a graduate of Honesdale High School. She was of the Lutheran faith; for many years worked at Keuster's Bakery in Honesdale. In former years, she also worked at Standard Finance. She will be a remembered as wonderful person and especially a loving wife. She will be greatly missed. She is also survived by a brother: Gary Miller and his wife Michelle of Honesdale; and a sister: Sandra Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Owens and her husband John of Parker, Colorado. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cheryl Angel Courter in 1971; two sisters: Joan Miller and Carolyn Davis. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in Canaan Corners Cemetery: Owego Turnpike, Waymart with Pastor Mary Bryant officiating.
