Obituary of Elizabeth Figura Naroski

Betty Figura Naroski, AKA, Betty A. Figura, 97, of Thompson, PA, Preston Township, Wayne County, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on August 30, 1915 in Scranton, daughter of the late Mary and Daniel T. Figura. For many years she was an auditor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania throughout the state. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Naroski, and two brothers, Sergius and Daniel Figura. Betty was a long standing member of St. Tikhon's Russian Orthodox Monastery in South Caanan, PA. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and two sister-in-laws, Mae Figura of Honesdale, and Ann Figura of Lake Como. Viewing will be at the family home in Preston Center on Thursday, February 7, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. At 7:00 P.M., the same day, there will be prayers for Betty at St. Tikhon's Russian Orthodox Monastery, South Canaan. Funeral and Burial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 8, at St. Tikhon's Russian Orthodox Monastery, South Canaan, followed by interment at St. Tikhon's Russian Orthodox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Tikhon's Monastery. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main St. Honesdale, PA.
