Obituary of Kathleen B. Weinel

Kathleen B. (Cottell) Weinel, 66, of Scranton, formerly of Honesdale, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 in the Moses Taylor Hosptial, Scranton after an illness. She was preceded in death by her husand, Ronald R. Weinel in 2001. Born on January 22, 1945 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lois (Morgan) Cottell. She was dedicated and baptized by the Honesdale Assembly of God Church. Kathleen will be remembered for her love of animals; she also had a special place in her heart for children. She is survived by two sisters: Janet Bishop and her husband W. Roger, and Lisa Rosencranse and her husband Branden all of Honesdale; and one brother: Jeffrey Cottell and his wife Debbie, also of Honesdale; aunts, nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale with Rev. Clarence Spencer officiating. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM at the funeral home Interment will be Thursday in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
