Joan Atkins, 79, of Hawley, PA, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at home.
Born on August 25, 1933 in England, United Kingdom, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Edward Atkins.
Joan worked in the banking industry for many years and she retired from Bank of America in Callicoon, New York. She had been active in the Auxiliary of the Callicoon Hospital, and she enjoyed crossword puzzles. Special thanks is expressed to the staff and residents of Barker Street Apartments in Hawley for the kindness and compassion that was given to Joan.
She is survived by one sister who resides in England.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
