Frances Bucklish Remsen Frances Bucklish Remsen, (also known as Bucky) 100 years old, passed away on Tues., May 21. She was a resident at Bethany Village Assisted Living Facility. She had previously lived at Lake Alden, Fort Myers, Scranton and Pleasant Mount. She was married to James Remsen who passed away in 1989. Frances is survived by a son, William and his companion, Dorys Beecher, from AZ and WA; two daughters: Diane Varner from Acworth, GA and Dolores O'Neill, Honesdale, PA. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 grandsons. Frances enjoyed gardening, quilting, line dancing, walking, swimming, gathering sea shells, making braided rugs, caning chairs, picking berries and playing with her grand children and great grandchildren. At one time, she was President of the Pleasant Mount High School PTA, a 4-H Leader and a member of Eastern Star. A memorial service will be held on Sat., June 29 at 11 AM at the Clinton Center Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors at 10 AM at the church. Burial will be at the Aldenville Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes Barre, PA 18702 or the Clinton Center Baptist Church. Donations to the church can be sent to Lois Terrel, 26 Terrel Rd., Waymart, PA 18472. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home , 1228 Main Street Honesdale.
