Obituary of Janet V. Schnakenberg

Janet V. Schnakenberg, 58, of Equinunk, died Saturday morning, July 27, 2013 in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, after many years of illness. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Allan J. Schnakenberg. They were married on June 29, 1974. Born on January 27, 1955 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Arnold and Arnetta (Baugher) Arnold of Scranton. Janet was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She will be deeply missed. She is also survived by four children: Lori Schnakenberg of Simpson, Timothy Schnakenberg and his wife Samantha of Oklahoma, Leslie Schnakenberg of Equinunk, and Steven Schnakenberg of Simpson; twin grandchildren: Noah and Sheridan; a sister, Kathleen Terreri and her husband Lee of Dunmore. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Arnold. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the First Baptist Church of Damascus with Pastor Stuart Hunt officiating. Friends may visit on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Memorial Contributions may be made in Janet's memory to the Damascus Christian Academy P.O Box 81 - 1678 River Road - Damascus - PA 18415. Interment will be Thursday in Overlook Cemetery, Damascus.
