Obituary of Doris A. Frey

Doris A. Frey, 95, of Prompton, died Friday, August 16, 2013 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis M. Frey. Born on July 9, 1918 in Seelyville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Torpin) Molter. Doris was a member of the Prompton United Methodist Church where she enjoyed attending church services. She enjoyed playing cards at the Honesdale Senior Center in the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging. Doris was most well known as the owner of the popular Cheryl Ann restaurant on Park Street in Honesdale which she operated with her husband for many years. Doris will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Molter; and three sisters, Margaret Molter, Olive Spencer, and Iva Romich. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Prompton United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Small officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris' memory to the Prompton United Methodist Church.
