Obituary of John Deliver

John "J.D." Deliver, died December 3, 2013 at home. He is survived by his wife, Joan Marie Christoffer Deliver.
Born in Jamaica, Queens NY, August 22, 1931.John relocated to Honesdale in 1991.
John served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired after 28 years as a school bus driver for Varsity Transit in Queens.
John was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League, the American Legion Post # 483 in Rosedale, a member of Springfield Garden Lodge #1057, and the Sons of Norway Bernt Balchen Lodge. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Joanne "Cookie" Deliver at home and Janice Rosato of Oceanside, NY; a son, Jack Deliver and his wife Beth of Lancaster; grandchildren, Sarah Deliver and Joshua Deliver.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 6:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street Honesdale with the Rev. Michael Lyle officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday, December 6 from 4:00-6:00 PM .
