Robert Arthur Rose, Sr., 81 of Beach Lake, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at home. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Bishop Rose. Born in Hawley, Pa he was the son of the late Arthur and Eunice Kimble Rose and stepmother, Johanna Smith Rose. Robert worked for many years as a truck operator at Roche's Supply in Honesdale. He was a long time member of the White Mills Fire Company. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Cherry Ridge Fishing Club for many years. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Robert A. Rose, Jr. and his wife Doris of Huntersville, NC; two daughters, Linda Coykendall and her husband Michael of Matamoras and Tammy Scull and her husband Ronald of Honesdale; two brothers, Arthur"Bucky" Rose and his wife Susan of Honesdale and Charles"Jack" Rose and his wife Catherine of Gettysburg, Pa ; three sisters, June Putman of Honesdale, Yvonne Bonham and her husband James of Bethany, and Judy Eldred and her husband Robert of Honesdale; five grandchildren, Ryan Kuhn and his wife Molly, Sarah Kuhn Knight and her husband Michael, Jessica Scull and her fianc Joseph Gries, Kristen Scull, and Rebecca Scull; three great grandchildren, Owen and Ethan Gries and Kieran Kuhn; several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions can be made to the Nebzydoski-White Jr 4-H Scholarship Fund c/o Rosalind Williiams 409 Stock Farm Road, Lake Ariel, Pa 18436 Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main St. Honesdale, Pa.
