Obituary of William C. Roman

____________________________________________________________________________ William C. Roman, Jr., 61, of South Canaan died unexpectedly, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at home. Born on August 2, 1952 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late William Roman and Dolores Turouski Roman of Waymart. Bill graduated from Waymart High School in 1970. Bill enjoyed woodworking throughout his life, and worked as a carpenter until 1990. He worked for C and D Builders in Lake Ariel for several years. Bill was a corrections officer at Farview State Hospital which later became SCI Waymart; he retired in 2008. He also enjoyed old cars, and training his two Airedale dogs. William was a quiet man, and a meticulous person who cared for his family and was always willing to help others. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by a brother, John A. Roman of South Canaan. A memorial service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, PA.
