Turner Date of Death: January 28, 2014 ____________________________________________________________________________ Myron J. Turner, 80, of Lookout, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Commonwealth Hospice at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Catherine Lacey. Born on August 31, 1933 in Lookout, PA, where he lived his entire life. Following graduation from Damascus High School, Mryon worked for Carley Brook Lumber at the Callicoon and Hancock locations. He later worked at Roche's Garage in Callicoon for 28 years. Later in life, Myron and his wife owned and operated Kathy's Variety Store in Lookout. He was a member of the Equinunk Fire Company where he served over 5 0 years. Myron was the Assistant Chief for many years. He was also involved with the formation of the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps and was influential in the construction of the ambulance building. Myron was a Little League coach for the Galilee Phillies many years ago. He is also survived by three sons: John Turner and his wife Susan of Keswick, Virginia, Jeff Turner of Hawley, and Joseph Turner and his wife Rebecca of North Port, Florida; three grandchildren: Scott, Sarah, and Erin Turner. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Friends may visit on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Myron's memory to Equinunk Volunteer Fire Company, 2625 Hancock Highway, Equinunk, PA 18417. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee.
