Obituary of Helen L. Cron

Helen L. Cron, 78, of Honesdale, died Monday morning March 17, 2014 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. She is survived by her husband, Ronald P. Cron to whom she was married on December 23, 1995. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond F. Clemo; he died on February 18, 1988. Born July 10, 1935 in Tanners Falls, Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Schuman Hansen. Helen was an accomplished seamstress and retired after many years of working locally in garment factories. She loved to go camping and being outdoors. Helen enjoyed fishing and watching birds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is also survived by three children: Doris Bayly and her husband Robert R. Bayly of Honesdale, Raymond R. Clemo and his wife Patricia A. Clemo of Waymart, and Dale F. Clemo; three sisters: Rosie Rosemier and her husband Arthur, Joan Cron, and Viola Hiller and her husband Vernon; two brothers: Melvin Hansen and Peter Hansen; six grandchildren: Kevin Bayly and his wife Kim, Corey Bayly and his wife Kimber, Mandy Harvey and her husband Thomas, Ryan Clemo and his companion Sara Kellerman, Shawn Clemo and his wife Chrissy, and Christa Clemo; twenty great-grandchildren; and special friends and neighbors: Andy and Ron Kenowsky. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Donald Gillow, Harland Gillow, Richard Hansen, Mary Lou Weaver, Ruby Warfield, Doris Gillow Holbert; and her loyal companion dog, Macky. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Aldenville Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Gilpin officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to Mr. Cron at his home to offset recent expenses.
