Sarah "Sally" Lopatofsky Cobb Rodenburg, 78, of Waymart, died peacefully at home after an illness, on Tuesday night, March 25, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Philip R. Rodenburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard "Ike" Cobb who died in 1982. Born on April 12, 1935 in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Olsewski Lopatofsky. Sally was educated in the Wayne County School System, and was later employed in the garment industry. She retired from Ladore Lodge and Conference Center in Waymart. Sally was a member of the International Poetry Hall of Fame, the Waymart Area Historical Society, the Pleasant Mount Red Hat Society, and the Calvary United Methodist Church of Waymart. She is also survived by five children: Gerald Cobb, Anita Lee, Helen Cobb, Mark Rodenburg, and Cheryl Jordan; five grandchildren; a brother, Albert Lopatofsky, two sisters: Regina Hook and Dorothy Johannes. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Paul and Francis Lopatofsky. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Rev. Joshua Yorks, Waymart Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Center, Wayne Memorial Inpatient Hospice Unit, and Heartland Hospice Services. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Calvary United Methodist Church, 151 Belmont Street, Waymart PA with Pastor Joshua Yorks officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Friends may visit on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sally's memory to the Waymart Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 2 Railroad Lane, Waymart, PA 18472, or the Calvary United Methodist Church of Waymart, PO Box J, Waymart, PA 18472. Interment will be Saturday in the Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.
