Myrtle Stinnard, 83, of Honesdale, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George F. Stinnard. Born March 1, 1931 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late John and Charlotte Robbins Baldwin. Myrtle was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked in the local garment factories including the Katz factory, Amber, and Waymart Knitwear. Myrtle enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is also survived by her son, Alan Stinnard and his wife Rosemary of Honesdale; a sister, Karen Baldwin of Waymart; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Wood and Lillian Risse. In accordance with her wishes, following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11 at 4:00 P.M. in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main St. Honesdale, PA 18431 with Rev. Rob Kazinski, pastor of the Central United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
