Obituary of Shirley L. Bennett

Shirley L. Bennett, 88 of Bethany Village, Bethany died Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was married to the late William Bennett. Born on August 16, 1925 in Honesdale she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred Smith Keast. Shirley graduated from Pleasant Mount High School and was a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith. Shirley lived in Ft. Lauderdale and Floral City, Florida for many years and was a volunteer for many organizations. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Bennett of Pompano Beach, Fl; a granddaughter, Brooke Erwin of Bushnell, FL; great grandchildren Dylan Erwin and Brett Sermons, Jr. of Bushnell, FL; brothers, Charles Keast and his wife Marilee of E. Syracuse,NY and Arthur Keast and his wife Clara of Waymart, PA; sisters, Lillian Piercy of Honesdale, PA and Geraldine Villaume of Pocomoke City, MD.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Schmitt and a brother Byron Smith. Memorial contributions can be made to Honesdale Emergency Pantry, Box 14, Honesdale, Pa 18431.
