Obituary of Betty R. Bunting

Betty R. Bunting, 88, of Honesdale died Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was married to Gerald R. Bunting and together they ran a very successful dairy farm. Gerald died in 1999. Born December 21, 1925 in Waymart, Pa she was the daughter of Francis Ryan and Mabel Wright Ryan. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Honesdale. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kay Burkavage and a son Gerald W. Bunting and his wife Marcie; a daughter-in-law, Mary Bunting and grandchildren; JoAnn Fuller and partner Kathy Lawless, Jennifer Pepper and husband Mark; Robert M. Bunting Jr. and partner Amy Gilson and Brian Bunting and his wife Kim. Betty has three great grandchildren, Christian Fuller, Jakob Pepper and Gerald Pepper. She is also survived by a sister Marie Muncey and husband James and a brother Merle Ryan and wife Joyce, three sister-in-laws; Mary Ryan, Alice Ryan, Janet Bunting and numerous nieces and nephews; also her little companion border Collie, Honey. She was preceded in death by a son Robert Marshall Bunting Sr., an infant granddaughter and one sister Evelyn Noval and brothers Kenneth, James, Robert, Edward (John) and Oscar, two brother- in- laws, Willard Bunting and Paul Bunting and his wife Jacqueline. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale with pastor Mary Bryant officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 10;00 AM until the time of the service.
