Obituary of Yolanda E. Wyss

Elaine "Ollie" Wyss, of Carbondale died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Elaine was born June 10, 1946 in Honesdale and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Haun) Racht. Elaine worked as a caregiver in a nursing home and loved caring for her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed dining out at McDonnell's and Gibney's Restaurants and playing bingo and computer games. While in high school she won several awards in competition diving. She is survived by her children, Sondra Rolison of Waymart, Karen Fay Wyss of Florida, Francis Paul Wyss Jr of Narrowsburg, NY, and Denise Matern of Newfoundland, PA; 7 grandchildren, Dara, Dallas, Britany, Frannie, Renee, Chrishna, Brody, and one greatgrandson, Anthony; a brother Raymond ; sisters, Donna, Sandy, and Pauline. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7:00- 9:00 pm. Her family would like to think the hospice workers and caretakers who helped at her home.
