Obituary of Louise Montello

Dr. Louise Montello cared deeply for many people. She was a teacher, writer, performer and healer. In Louise's words, "My three passions in life are music, spirituality, and depth psychology." She committed to her life's journey, by sharing those passions expressed in the creative arts, professional, and neighborhood communities. She was an Associate Professor and director of the Creative Arts Therapy Program at the New School and a board certified psychoanalyst and Music Therapist for over 25 years. Louise passed away peacefully in her sleep at her country home in Lackawaxen, Pa at the age of 58. She is survived by me, her sister Marguerite Montello-Avery, and her brother Thomas Montello and our respective families. There will be a memorial celebration held at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 main street, Honesdale, Pa on November 1, 2014 between the hours of 1:00-5:00 PM .
