Madelon June Klinkiewicz, age 89, formerly of Galilee, PA, died peacefully on January 14, 2015, while under hospice care with family in Fayetteville, NC. Immediate family members preceding her in death were her husband, George J. Klinkiewicz, her eldest son George M. Klinkiewicz, and grandsons Christopher Klinkiewicz, Aaron Ksanznak, Jason Klinkiewicz and Travis Ostrander. Children remaining are daughters Kathleen Pittman, Mary Ostrander, and Valarie Klinkiewicz and sons James Klinkiewicz and Steven Klinkiewicz; Grandsons Cory and Ryan Ostrander, Justin and Joshua Klinkiewicz, and Kyle Bair, and Granddaughters Karen Smith and Krista Bair; also several great grandchildren. Siblings preceding her in death were sisters Margaret Scarlotta and Lois Drake; surviving siblings are sisters LaVonne Silva and Beverly Deitrich, and brothers Elwood Graebner and Ronald Graebner, and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Madelon loved to sing and play various instruments, and a highlight was when she sang with The Old Time Fiddlers when she was 70. She spent many cold winter days quilting, and loved to garden and raise flowers of all kinds, and lived most of her life on the farm in Galilee, PA Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street Honesdale with the Rev. Lloyd Canfield officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday from 11:00-1:00 PM.
