Obituary of Janice E. Liptak

Janice Ellen Liptak passed peacefully, February 22, 2015, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born on December 28, 1960 in Honesdale to Shirley Beardsley Noble and the late Donald S. Noble. As a child Janice loved sleigh riding down the hill on 13th Street with her brother Jeff. She graduated from Honesdale High School in 1978. Janice married Dan Liptak in 1980. Janice was proud to have been employed by the Honesdale National Bank. After leaving the bank to raise her children she was the Bethany Boro tax collector for many years. Janice spent the past 12 years as Secretary at the Wayne Highlands Middle School and truly loved every minute of it. Janice loved planting beautiful flowers in the spring, decorating her house during Christmas, watching for wildlife in her backyard and laughing, playing and spending time with her three beautiful children; Ashley, Dustin, and Jessica whom she loved to the moon and back. She is survived by Dan Liptak; her children, Dustin of Honesdale, Jessica of Bethany, and Ashley and her partner Ellie Provenzano of Honesdale; her mother, Shirley Beardsley Noble; her brother, Jeffrey Noble and his partner Michele Gibbons of Honesdale. As per the wishes of Janice a private celebration of life will be held on a warm spring day with immediate family present. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Janice Ellen Memorial Account in care of the Honesdale National Bank, 733 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa 18431 to help fund the Bethany Boro Luminary Project. Janice started this project many years ago and loved spreading joy in the community through it. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 Main Street Honesdale, Pa.
