Obituary of Clarence Britton

Clarence Britton, 82, of Beach Lake, died Monday, September 12, 2011 in Hospice care at Regional Hospital Of Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former, Ann Slaier of Beach Blake. Born on February 27, 1929 in Blaine, Maine, he was the son of the late Delbert and Etta (Bell) Britton. Clarence worked for many years and retired from Pipeliners Union #798 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Emulation Lodge #255, Free and Accepted Masons in Clinton, Iowa. Clarence was also a member of the Laurel Chapter #67, Order of the Eastern Start, Waymart, and the Beach Lake Volunteer Fire Company. He is also survived by two children: Lyn Bozic and Jet Britton; six grandchildren: Sasha Bozic of Beach Lake, Mieke Bozic-Zeindl of Bonn, Germany and Michael, Katelyn, Nicholas and Gregory Britton all of Beach Lake; aunts: Helen Kelly of Lynnwood, Washington, and Catherine Bell of Houlton Maine; and a cousin, Darlene Hawksley of Readfield, Maine. Graveside Services will be held in the Beach Lake Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Funeral Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Memorial Contributions may be made in Clarence's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
