Obituary of Doris E. Powlics

Doris was born November 16, 1923 in Massena, NY. She is the daughter of the late Arthur Carey Marsh and the late Ina Belle (Day) Marsh. Doris resided in the Masena area where she was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Local Capter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Literacy Volunteers of America. She worked as a teacher's aide in an Adult Learning Center. She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Thurston and her husband Robert of Auburn, NY and Kathryn Powlics and her husband Gary Millon of Honesdale; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Derrick, Michael, Edward, Danielle, John, Kenneth, and Walter; ten great grandchildren; five step grandchildren, Kenneth and Tina Seguin, Sandy and David Seguin, Lloyd Seguin, Julie Talbert, Tommy and Liz Seguin; eleven step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Todd and two brothers Howard Marsh and John Marsh. A graveside service was held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY on July 6, 2015. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street. Honesdale, Pa .
