Joseph R. Millon,80, of Honesdale died on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Green Ridge Nursing Home, Scranton following an illness. Joseph was born in Carbondale the son of the late John and Mary Kuna Millon. He owned and operated Millon's Garage in Honesdale. The original garage was started in 1960 on West 11th Street and after 20 years moved to the current location on Rte 6., the former Narvid Oldsmobile Building. Joe purchased and expanded the car wash next door and subsequently built the Econowash Laundromat. He was an avid golfer and former member of the Honesdale Golf Club. Joe was also one of the original founders of the Biddy Basketball Program in Honesdale. He was a member of St.John's Parish, Honesdale and attended St. Mary's Magdalen Roman Catholic Church. Joe is survived by his partner. Elizabeth Merry, at home; three sons: Jerome Millon of Lancaster, Dennis Millon of Prompton, and Gary Millon of Cherry Ridge; three daughters, Arlene Bilko and her husband, David of Forest City, Leann Wash and her husband, Steve of Lake Ariel, and Molly Graver and her husband, Michael of Allentown, 2 brothers: Richard Millon, Carbondale and Ronald Millon, Sodus, NY; 2 sisters: Ilene Campbell, Tully, Oklahoma and Roseanne Millon; 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Millon and Ernest Millon, and his sister, Marie Lynch. In accordance with his wishes, a private interment service will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Honesdale at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions can be made to Honesdale Biddy Basketball Association, 759 Old Willow Ave. Honesdale, Pa 18431. Funeral arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main Street, Honesdale.
