Alice M. Pykus, age 87, of Cold Spring passed away in her sleep on December 22, 2015. She was born on January 29,1928 in Honesdale, the daughter of the late Henry and Pauline Eppley Utegg. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Pykus; a sister, Betty Douglas, and a brother, Paul Utegg. Alice loved music and played the violin and piano. She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Honesdale. Alice was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Alice is survived by her sons, William Louis and Ronald Alan both of Cold Spring. Grandchildren, William Brian Jr., Anthony Michael, Charles Louis, Samantha Mae and a great granddaughter, Maressa of Equinunk. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church 7th and Church Street, Honesdale with the Rev. Richard Mowery officiating. Friends may visit the Arthur A. Bryant funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Interment will be in the Indian Orchard Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers for the wonderful care they had given her to keep her home. In addition we would also like to thank her full time caregivers, Donna Laniewski and Jeanna Greenfield for the love and support shown to Alice in her final days.
