Maynard A. Freiermuth died unexpectedly on December 27, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He is married to SueAnn Burns Freiermuth. Maynard was born in Honesdale the son of Betty Huff Freiermuth of Beach Lake and the late Maynard O. Freiermuth. Maynard was a graduate of Honesdale High School class of 1968. He was drafted and served in the United States Army during the Vientam War. Maynard worked as an excavator and later owned and operated Shamrock & Indian Orchard Homes. He was an avid sports fan especially Nascar and enjoyed football and golfing. He was a member of the Golf League at Cricket Hill. Maynard attended St. John the Evangelist and St. Mary's Magdelen Church in Honesdale. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Corey and and his wife Brandy Freiermuth of Beach Lake, Jason Freiermuth of Beach Lake; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Minor of Beach Lake; a sister, Annetta Hatton of Honesdale; eight grandchildren, Logan, Cody, Trevor, Madison, Brandon, Kylee, Dacota, and Joslynn; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Freiermuth. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa. Friends may visit on Saturday from 10:00-12:00 Noon. Interment will be in the Indian Orchard Cemetery at a later date.
